The Madam floor mirror plays with elements that are recurrent in beth Webb’s body of work– texture tension and serene tones. The scale of this full-length carved wood mirror which was inspired by a contemporary Italian woodworker carries gravitas as though it is a piece of sculpture in itself. The deeply grooved patterns in the wood juxtapose the slick mirror. Suitable for hanging or leaning on a wall it could equally be hinged and transformed into a folding screen.
