We are so thrilled to announce that local Toronto artist Benny Bing will be showcasing original artwork in the Modern Sense Furniture showroom starting this week. This collaboration is meant to highlight the perfect marriage between our luxury furniture in Toronto and Benny’s fantastic work.
For those who have not heard about Benny yet, let us tell you a bit about him. Benny is a self-taught artist who developed his style here in Toronto. He mainly paints portraits with (as he puts it) “complimentary acrylic hues” that create a striking and attractive final piece. Through his work, he has built a solid reputation for himself within the art community, with CBC naming him an “influential Black Canadian who is expanding and redefining black representation.”
Benny’s work has been shown at art fairs in Toronto and Miami and has been displayed at places like the George Washington University Museum, The Henry Ford Museum, Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment Headquarters, and the Wyatt Condominiums. He has also produced work for notable celebrities like Dave Chappelle, The Weeknd and Kardinal Offishall.
The collaboration between Benny and Modern Sense is an exciting one. His work pairs so beautifully with the modern furniture in our showroom. If you are looking to update your living room or dining room, we have so many furniture options that, when paired with Benny’s work, can completely transform a room and improve its overall aesthetic.
So come down to our contemporary showroom in Toronto to discover new paintings from a fantastic Toronto artist and to peruse our exceptional collection of luxurious furniture. We look forward to seeing you.
